Andrea Campbell, founder of European Languages, was born and raised in Ratingen, Germany (near Düsseldorf). Having been intrigued by the French language early on, she took every opportunity to participate in student exchanges and went to France numerous times for weeks in a row. As French was one of her majors during her pursuit of a degree in European business studies, Andrea spent several semesters in France at the École Supérieure de Commerce de Lille, one of the top 10 business schools in France. During her time in France, she also worked at the French newspaper La Tribune in the international advertising group.
After her studies in France, Andrea obtained a second Master’s degree in San Diego, California, with a major in finance. For almost one decade she worked in investor relations (writing press releases and organizing earnings calls, working with the CEO and CFO to keep investors informed about the company’s business).
With a love and passion for foreign languages and teaching, Andrea founded her own language school in 2009 after her daughter was born, and has been offering French and German tutoring since. Andrea also taught at various private language institutions, worked with a variety of business professionals, and is certified as an examiner for the worldwide recognized French DELF/DALF exams.

To give back to the community and to encourage and support language education overall, European Languages has been donating French language classes to different scouting troops in Sacramento.
Our general beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels offer participants conversation skills, vocabulary enrichment, grammar reviews and exercises, reading comprehension, oral presentations, and anything else they may be interested in.
Tutoring - This is for anyone who would like to get ahead, stay on track, or catch up in their German class. We have helped LOTS of students to improve their grades while increasing their appreciation for the language and culture.
Coaching - We coach professionals of any industry and assist them to achieve their goals for a variety of purposes, including language training, crash courses, and cultural seminars.
Families with more than one student can discuss the best suited option for their family. It is generally possible to teach several siblings together as a small group.
We also teach for homeschool coops and small groups in a private home setting.
European Languages is an approved vendor with most Charter Schools, including Inspire, South Sutter, Horizon, and Visions.
Learning a language and taking classes is great - but how does anyone know what you really know? Passing certain exams can give you objective proof of your language skills.
With the worldwide recognized "Goethe-Zertifikat" you may even be allowed to attend a German university or fulfill other work related requirements.
In general, they are a great addition for any resume and worth mentioning on scholarship and college applications.
